December 3rd - 7th Osaka Kids Plaza field trip

Hello parents of preschool A!

I hope that you are enjoying the new blog format!

Last week in preschool A we did so many things from finally making our own paper, enjoying playing in the autumn leaves with preschool B, practising our writing and colouring and finally our field trip to Osaka Kids Plaza!

After making our paper we were testing to see if it was dry yet, sadly after two days it was still wet. We all really loved the different colours and shapes our papers were taking while they were drying.

We are exited to display the paper when it is ready.

The autumn leaves in the park are not only a great way to show the colours we have learned and wonderful ingredients for preschool B compost. but it makes for fantastic games to play with your friends!

The building work in our class continues. I have been very impressed with how well we have been sharing and communicating with our friends about how to build a better tower/train. (opinion on what was actually constructed was heavily debated)

Osaka Kids Plaza

Ready to explore and discover!

Enjoying shopping at a kids supermarket!

There were a few jobs to try out including mail carrier.

We popped our bubble house but it was super fun playing with it!

Time for lunch

Back to more fun, this time with fans.

We all really loved the large bubble exhibit we had to try it again.

We got to dance on a real blue screen

Finally time for snacks and play time in the park

Talking about everything we saw on the ride back to school......

.......but some of us were a little too tired.

Science Week

Hello parents of Preschool A

Welcome to the new blog format for our class!

This will allow all of you to see more photos and information from our class, I hope you like it!

This week at Abroad Intentional School it was science week! I am sure that you heard many things about what your children discovered this week.

We made paper soup by cutting up the scrap paper we have been saving in our classroom with our table mates. Everyone really enjoyed this activity as we are all very good at cutting and are improving our fine motor skills.

We then added warm water, and mushed up the paper with our hands which was a little gross for some and an amazing activity for others who found no end of pleasure at playing with this squishy concoction, finally we left it to soak.

Next week we are going to be drying our soup and making it into recycled paper!

Later in the week we were invited by the big kids in grade three to learn how to make slime!

We really enjoyed learning something new and many remarked that the big kids were really friendly

As a thank you we gave them cards with a picture and seeds we had glued to them so that they could grow the same kind of plants that we are growing at home. They also gave us the slime we made together so that we can continue to remember the fun time we had!

In English this week as we have mastered recognising the letters of the alphabet we are now moving onto short three or four letter words and sounding out how we should pronounce them, in future blog posts I will be adding our word lists so that you can practice at home.

A favourite toy in our class are the large Lego blocks which seem to make an appearance at any and all play times.

This particular tower was designed by one of our students and they instructed their class mates how to build a taller stronger tower with less blocks.

We were all happy with the results!

Finally we spent time in the park again with our friends, playing whats the time mister wolf, building sandcastles and hanging out with our buddies.

I wanted to share a favourite hang out spot in the park.
